Hey guys,

I just wanted to send a quick message to everybody and say thanks for all the support you've shown for the Criss Oliva Memorial Concert. It means so much to me, my family and I know Criss too, that so many of you are coming from such great distances across the country and across the world, to remember Criss in this very special way. I'd also like to take this opportunity to give you an idea of what we’ve got planned for you. It’s definitely going to be a once in a lifetime event!

As announced previously on the web site, Streets: A Tribute To Savatage will be opening the evening of the Memorial Concert, followed by Zak’s new band, Circle II Circle. Both bands are really great and you’re going to love them! After that I will play some of my new solo material, which you will hear for the very first time.

The evening will then be followed by a line up of guys who played with Criss during the Streets tour. Those people will include Chris Caffery, Johnny Lee Middleton, Steve "Doc" Wacholz, John Zahner, and myself. We’ll be playing some of the songs that you’ve come to love over the years. Along with those we’ve tried to add some special ones too. Songs that have not been done, or have rarely been done in the past like Lady In Disguise, In The Dream and Can You Hear Me Now.

We have a few other surprises up our sleeves too, but I don’t want to give away too many secrets. I am sure that you’ll be blown away by what you’re going to see and hear that night.

Before I finish this little message there is one other thing I’d like to say to everyone. We all know that October 17th is always a difficult day for all the fans, as much as it is for my family, but we want to make sure that this is a night of celebration. A night when everyone remembers Criss for his inspiring talents, his incredible musicianship and for the wonderful person that he was. So don’t expect to come to this show and be depressed and sad, because Criss wouldn’t have wanted it that way. Instead, we’re going to rock the hell out of the joint!

Thanks again to everyone and I look forward to seeing and talking to you at the Criss Oliva 10th Anniversary Memorial Concert.

Jon Oliva
